Cell Phone Review : LV 2008

Well, ok. It’s not exactly DSLR, but what does one call a cellphone with a optical zoom lens attachment? Well, it’s called the LV 2008. Considering that it only packs a 1.3 megapixel camera, it won’t be impressing any serious photographers any time soon. But, granted, it still looks interesting. The package comes with a 3x optical zoom lens and retails for 130 USD. Looking at the available photos, it kinda reminds me of the ” 7.1 surround sound” handset we blogged about back in May, except with a long lens.

New Cellphones Review : N111 NBA Mobile Phone

New Cellphones Review

Not much is known about this phone as its producers refuse to share specifications, but given its looks, one can presume that the handset will have an onboard digital camera (there’s that circular thing in the back), and make use of what seems to be a generously sized display screen which could promise to give high quality image output. Either that or this phone could just turn out to be a low-end handset clothed in a sporty basketball-themed design and branded with the ever popular NBA brand in the hopes of riding the wave of said popularity. Neither price nor date of availability is known, and since it is a Chinese phone model, whether or not it will actually find its way into the hands of any NBA fans in the US is anyone’s guess.

Cellphone Deal : Nokia Buys Twango

Nokia Buys Twango
After the success of Youtube and Flickr, a veritable ton of new video slash picture sharing websites have been emerging from the every corner of the Earth. And they all seem to share one thing in common: a really annoying, pointless name like Boingo or Whammy or whatnot. Nokia acquired Twango in a deal for an undisclosed sum of money. One of these sites, code-named "Twango", was acquired by none other than Nokia. Twango, I suppose, is a little different from your average video-sharing site: it allows users to share almost anything, from Powerpoint documents to ZIP files and almost every type of image under the sun. So it's basically a file-sharing site, kind of like XDrive.

One of the nicer features let you upload files through e-mail attachments which is slick. And of course it's free. There are some limitations like only being able to upload 250 megabytes a month, and also restrictions on what files you can upload. Unfortunately, Nokia did not release exactly how much it paid for the site, which was formed by a group of former Microsoft employees. They are, of course, all rich now.
